Our Mission
We established this trust in honour of our father, late Captain Ahmad Naveed Ashraf, who unexpectedly passed away due to COVID-19 in 2020. His life has been an example of generosity and selflessness, and we hope to keep his memory alive through the initiatives he started.
Captain Ahmad Naveed Ashraf
Captain Ahmad Naveed Ashraf was a beloved father and husband, an admired colleague and an exceptional human being.
Despite a humble upbringing and challenging career, he had a strong resolve to help as many people as he could throughout his life. Even in his final days at the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19, he was more concerned about others than his own wellbeing, and quietly executed a project to install water taps in rural areas of Pakistan.
His philanthropy philosophy was simple; instead of donating to large organisations where donors may have limited visibility and where funds may be used to cover admin costs, he identified deserving individuals on a case-by-case basis and helped them. Whether it be financial, mental or emotional his philanthropy knew no limit, and was truly an example for us.
In his remembrance, we have set-up this Trust to carry forward his philanthropy in a similar grassroots fashion and to inspire others through his legacy and through all the lives he has touched.
Special Thanks
We want to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Farooq Hospital Westwood and Evercare Hospital who looked after our father during his 6 weeks in ICU. We are especially grateful to Dr. Khawar Abbas, Dr. Farhan Nasir and Dr. Abu Bakar for their effort and support, and for making our last few weeks with him as comfortable as possible.
